The view from our 29th floor, Shanghai-home-for-a-month is absolutely breath taking. What can I say, it's the city of luxury and the MEGA of endless skyscrapers, seriously.
Where we are staying is almost like norcal in many aspects, the ratio of Asian to non-Asian population is close to 50 50 from what I observed. My fear of feeling slightly out of place was completely replaced by a new found sense of familiarity and curiosity.
Tennis courts have become a staple in luxury high raises.
I can't see an end to this sea of skyscrappers
Picture of the city from the bedroom balcony
Not every inch of Shanghai's occupied by buildings, you can actually find green areas here too, which is a lot different from what I remembered.

The Higher You Are, The Harder You Fall
When is it alright to wrestle your girlfriend to the floor?!
So KK and I had a little wrestling match going on his first night in the bay. Being almost twice my size, its no wonder I had almost no chance against him picking me up and thow me across the room. Actually let me rephrase, he meant to throw me on the fluffy bed, but he MISSED, instead I landed on top of a stack of books I had right next to my bed. And the worst part is? He landed on top of me from lost of balance. As you can imagine, my back isn't exactly thanking me at this point.
Alrighty, all the complaints aside, I received my brand new vintage boots. Is it even possible to have brand new and vintage in the same sentence? These are the most insanely amazing thigh highs I could have ever imagined. My winter outfits are SET!

Miracle In A Bottle?
I've never done any beauty posts on this blog, mainly because I haven't found anything worth sharing, that is until yesterday. I tired something so impressive last night that I couldn't wait to broadcast it to the world.
I was chatting with the lady at the beauty counter in Bloomingdales because I needed an eye cream for my cousin. She introduced to this new line, Ultimate Youth Creme, from Estee Lauder, which at first glance, has a pretty ridiculous 3 digits price tag. But she assured me that it's worth every penny and gave me a sample to try at home. Although it'll take a few more days for me to confirm the effectiveness of the cream, after only one use, the little lines around the corner of my eyes are GONE! I couldn't believe my eyes either, that's why I can't stop looking into the mirror on my desk every 30 seconds for the entire morning. I'll let you know in a few days whether it's the cream or its just one night of really good sleep. In the mean time, maybe you should get a sample from them as well, never hurts to try :)

Spotted
With Current/Elliot's boyfriend jeans making a huge wave in every girl's heart, its $250 price tag has the potential of putting quite a dent in everyone's wallet as well. I found a cool alternative from Free People, but still, it costs around $250. So I stated browsing around Levi's site, men's section especially, and guess what I found. Men's Levi 501 in Perfect Worn is almost the exact duplicate as the one from Free People, without the price tag, of course. Check it out here, make sure to select the Perfect Worn color.
Lace Tights
I know several of you are looking for lace tights. This is a pretty unique pair from Free People, and for $34, you can't really go wrong.
You can find it here
