Fringe Madness Continues...

Fringe can be seen every where now a days, however, the fact its everywhere doesn't mean everything with fringe automatically looks good. Its actually quite tricky to pull it off a fringe vest without looking like one of the extras from a John Wayne film, got the idea?! I came across this fringe metal vest by LaRok which I thought is a lovely combination of western and rock & roll.

Balmain Booties Part II

OK, so the real Balmain booties are way out of my price range, but these look-alikes from Betsey Johnson could be an affordable alternative :)

NY Shoes?

I think I may have FOUND my New York shoes! As ugly as they may be, they are ridiculously comfortable, but I'll have to wear them for a few more times to confirm. All in all, I'm super excited.

Maxi Dress

This is the splurge version of the maxi dress from C&C California, commanding a $120 price tag.

Here's a cheap version of the maxi dress I came across in Forever 21 for a fraction of the cost. I do like my maxi dress to have a slightly fuller silhouette, the tiers are perfect for that.

Boring...

I was clearing out my memory stick and found some pictures that were never posted, because they are just so BLAH... Looking back at my days in the office, it almost feels like I'm wearing a uniform! I guess that's the life of being in a corporate world, although technically its a startup which by popular perspective is suppose to be filled with kids in their early 20s with crazy hair dos and outrageous outfits. But not here, the only outrageous thing in the office, dare I say is the size of our engineer's belly, which from rough eyeballing, has already put happy buddha's to shame.

Plaid Shirt

This may sound very corny, but I found this similar plaid shirt KM wore in the picture over the weekend! Pictures to come...

Inspiration

JJbee's been eying the MJ patent brogue for a long time, as cute as it may be, its $300 price tag is a bit hard to swallow. I remembered a pair of cute patent pair Kate Moss was wearing a while back and found some alternatives that may be a little more budget friendly.

Sweet Marni

I almost got these Marni boots over the weekend as it's ridiculously cool in person and of course, stupidly discounted. But I was worried that it may make my legs look short and stubby, which by the reflection from the mirror, seemed to be a very valid concern. After circled around the store five times contemplating on the pros and cons, I had to let these go home with someone who can actually rock them...sigh...the curse of having short legs...

Pre-vacation Part I

I'm having a hard time containing my excitement about the upcoming trips! KK has planned a birthday trip for us to go to Boston and NY...Hooray! Following that, I'm taking KK to Palm Springs for a weekend of spa and relaxation...ahhh... Last but not the least, I'm going to Shanghai for two weeks...yummy food...
I'll be playing dress ups for the next few week in preparation for my three upcoming trips, and will need your opinions on the outfits.

I'm thinking an eclectic hippie inspired maxi dress for walking around NY city.

Plenty of sheer layers for hanging out in NY where the weather could be a little unpredictable. Yes, I'm still in love with the royal blue color and try to add it in whenever I can.

I'm in love with this super sheer, ultra soft, silk blend cowl neck tunic top. Now the only thing I'm pondering on is if KK's going to complain about its shapelessness.

Cheap Thrill

Antique brown leather, classic biker shape, puff princess sleeves, is it even possible to say no to this little number? Especially when the price is under $30! I was at Target last week picking up some shampoo, and caught a glimpse of this jacket from the corner of my eyes. Target is not exactly known to be a fashion power house; except for maybe occasional men's plain white Ts, I haven’t spent too much time browsing through their clothing collections before. Even though this biker jacket is no comparison to the original Rick Owen’s or even Mike & Chris’, I decided to bring it home and give it a try. Umm..this could possibly be the best $30 I've spent in a long time :)

Balmain Booties

Is Christmas coming anytime soon? Santa baby, these Balmain booties are on my wish list...

Black & White

I am exhausted... For me, exhaustion is definitely more mental than physical. Decided to put on something super comfy, yap, this nautical stripe shirt does the trick. It almost feels like I'm lounging around in my pj :)
KK, does the shirt look semi-familiar? heehee...

TIGF...Yah, I'll be on my way to San Diego in 11 hours!

My outfit last Friday...

I just realized I haven't done any outfit posts this week, mainly because I'm super late getting ready for work everyday. I promise I don't dress in black poofy skirt with Aldo heels on a daily basis, it just seems like every time I get a chance to take outfit pictures, I'm in the company of one of my many black skirts..lol

Guess Who

Can you guess who designed these beauties?

Be prepared to scream with joy! They are part of Alexander Wang's new shoe collection scheduled to debut on 2009's spring runway. What's better than a new shoe line from Wang? Try a diffusion line from the designer! Super soft tees and shift dresses are said to whole sale at $28 - $40. We are probably looking at $60 - $120 in retail, but hey, at least that's much more wallet friendlier than shirts/dresses from his main collection.

Chop Chop = Bangs

Finally I got around to take pictures of my new haircut. My mom is in complete disagreement with my bangs, KK commented on how I look like a doll, and of course, my coworks barely noticed that 10" of my hair's gone. I kind of like it except for that I need to blow dry my hair in the morning now.

I Spy...Copycat?

I’m sure everyone’s super familiar with Erin’s ultra edgy jewelry collection by now. I was completely enamored with Erin’s talent when I first saw the collection, what can I say? It embodies Erin’s beautiful yet unique style.

I’ve been craving a piece from her collection, until the story about her jewelry line is actually a copy of Bliss Lau’s broke out a few days ago. I’m heart broken, yet super excited about the discovery of another brilliant talent in the fashion world. Especially since the price tag on Lau's collection are actually within my budget! Well, sort of...

Below are a few designs from Bliss Lau.

For Fall I'm Thinking...

Call me nutty, I’ve already started preparing for my cooler weather wardrobes despite the scorching Cali summer temperature! Yes, thigh high socks with gladiators/booties is topping my list right now. And I’m searching high and low for that super versatile buffalo plaid Alexander Wang jacket (Hello? Ebay?), as well as a few simple long knit cardigans. Last but not the least, accessories accessories accessories! I’m doubling up on plaid scarves and knit hats to break up that monogamous fall color pallet. Hmm...maybe I need to double up on my time in the gym as well so I can actually pull them off like SJP ?!
