Winter Inspiration

As annoying as the chilly weather may be, its a perfect season to have some fun with loads of crazy layering!

Woo...look at these shoes! I'd die to get my hands on a pair of these.


Am I crazy for wanting a long faux fur gilet like this?


A full volume plaid shirt dress is perfect to wear under any short coat.


I couldn't say enough about how amazing fingerless gloves are, they keep your hands warm and keep your fingers typing, all at the same time!


A perfect boxy boyfriend jacket is all that a girl needs to pull together an I-don't-give-a-dam-about-whatcha-think look.


I almost got a similar super chunky cowlneck scarf for myself a while back, however, the thought of using it in Cali winter weather seemed just a ted bit excessive.

Boho Rocker

I love fashion, but I don't usually follow fashion weeks very closely, as most runways looks are too extravagant for the street if taken directly. But I do look to trends coming out of fashion weeks to inspire my wardrobe for the upcoming seasons, like most people. One of the collections that caught my eyes as being both runway worthy and street chic is Justin Timberlake's collection William Rast. Strange as it may be, after all it's a "celebrity collection", they've shown some amazing pieces, including quite a few perfectly studded and tailored jackets, hippie chic fringe boots, laid back shorts and tees... ahh...I can't wait to see them in the store. These boots are delish!

JJbee's been eying the MJ patent brogue for a long time, as cute as it may be, its $300 price tag is a bit hard to swallow. I remembered a pair of cute patent pair Kate Moss was wearing a while back and found some alternatives that may be a little more budget friendly.

Be prepared to scream with joy! They are part of Alexander Wang's new shoe collection scheduled to debut on 2009's spring runway. What's better than a new shoe line from Wang? Try a diffusion line from the designer! Super soft tees and shift dresses are said to whole sale at $28 - $40. We are probably looking at $60 - $120 in retail, but hey, at least that's much more wallet friendlier than shirts/dresses from his main collection.

For Fall I'm Thinking...

Call me nutty, I’ve already started preparing for my cooler weather wardrobes despite the scorching Cali summer temperature! Yes, thigh high socks with gladiators/booties is topping my list right now. And I’m searching high and low for that super versatile buffalo plaid Alexander Wang jacket (Hello? Ebay?), as well as a few simple long knit cardigans. Last but not the least, accessories accessories accessories! I’m doubling up on plaid scarves and knit hats to break up that monogamous fall color pallet. Hmm...maybe I need to double up on my time in the gym as well so I can actually pull them off like SJP ?!
