Girl Of the Moment: Erin Wasson

Beachy, relaxed, casual yet still absolutely fabulous! JJBee...this looks is shouting your name!

Shoes Shoes and More SHOES!

As a shoe fanatic, I just can't resist posting this Carrie's shoe collage from SATC created by Karlascloset! I just can't tell you how excited I am about the movie...

Finally It's FRIDAY!

It's been a super rough week so far, although technically it's a short week with only four working days. But I've been working over 10 hours a day every single day....sigh... Anyhow, after listening to Jane Wall's review on SATC this morning, by the way, she's spot on with all her reviews so far, I'm even more psyched about seeing the movie tomorrow! YAH! The only question left is what to wear for a day in the city watching SATC...haha...
For some reason, I'm having a hard time dressing myself lately, quite frankly, I think it's an extension of my disorganized mind. Keeping my fingers crossed that things will start resolving themselves soon.

The morning started nice and sunny, but it made a 180 degree turn after I got dressed, hence the change into my trusted warm henley...

everyday when i get dressed i think to myself, "would the sartorialist photograph me wearing this?"

This is an older picture that's been posted in quite a few blogs already. But it really got me thinking, what's in my head when I get dressed in the morning?

Recycle

While I was in SD last weekend, KK and I went around the downtown area and saw some potential future places for us. Between getting very excited about what we can get for the money (one of the condos on the 10th floor came with an 1000sqft outdoor deck that over looks the DT and the ocean), and the actual mortgage/HOA/property tax, we came to an agreement that we'll need to be on a budget for the remaining of the year so we can buy and furnish our future home. Budgeting is definitely one of the subjects that's easier said than done. After some careful calculation, I came to the conclusion that I'll need to somehow shave down my clothing/shoes budget to almost nothing a month?! Sad as it may sound, I'm actually looking forward to clean out my closet and discover some long forgotten treasures. This morning, I dug out this Mike and Chris sweatshirt jacket that probably haven't seen the light of day since last year....my recycling plan is getting a head start already!

What a morning! I got to work bright and early hoping to catch up on my emails, just to find out that I forgot my laptop at home! After 30 minutes of back and forth, I was finally at my desk, starting my first day of work after four days off. Boy, I'm almost relieved that life's getting back to normal after the past few weeks. I spent most of my week last week at a technology conference, listening to all sorts of companies talking about the future of the internet. All I can say is just, wow...there are some life changing things happening. Going back to my morning, I'm feeling a bit girly, and very cold. I actually added some black tights before leaving home, just to make sure I can return home in "room temperature" instead of in a frozen state.

Bring Back the Cowgirl

I'm strangely drawn to these white fringe cowgirl boots after seeing this picture...KK refers to it as the "relapse of my ugly shoe syndrome". Well, I have to admit, they are kind of ugly and sort of brings me back to the Miller-era. BUT that's not going to stop me from wanting a pair.

Fitting In

I know it's only Tuesday, but I'm feeling a bit cheery knowing that I'm going down to SD in 2 days! Decided to build an outfit around the vintage navy oversized clutch and my dark gray cocoon blazer, which in the picture looks more like a black one...anyways, a better camera is on the way courtesy of my lovely dad supporting my new found "photography" hobby :)
I still can't believe that all the contents in my Balenciaga can actually fit into this clutch!

Cheap Thrills

I've been dying to wear my $0.99 eBay last minute bid and won vintage belt since it arrived last week. I stumbled upon this super soft bargain white bubble top during one of the shopping trips...an outfit for under $20! Perfect for a HOT Sat and easy on the wallet :)

Street Chic

She kind of reminds me of a modern day Jackie-O.

What an awesome way to wear all black!

Black blazer, shorts, leggings and white shoes? Oddly, it works...

Never thought wearing a giant logo can look so chic...

Love the blazer...

Skinny jeans, blazer and oxford has been done so many times already, but still looks so cool.

Stylish girlfriend is the best accessory!

Oh, so many things could have gone wrong with this outfit, especially these man trousers, but it all worked out flawlessly...

Weekend mission...a plaid shirt

Reaching 100

What to wear to the office when the outside temperature is hitting 100 degrees and inside is still hovering at sub-zero? I layered my trusted Velvet cashmere cami underneath the white shirt, which hopefully will help to ward off the bone chilling AC...

Ultra Cool Bachelor Pad

John hosted an amazing seafood dinner for us last weekend. His lumpy succulent crab cake has since became my newest addiction. But his two story pad is what kept me wooing and wowing for most of the night. Rustic double plank espresso colored wood floor sets the perfect tone for a modern classic living space. Did I mention he did all the decor and accent wall painting himself?!
After looking at my pictures, I just can no longer deny that I really need a new camera...

Closet Raid

One of the first things I did after prince packed up his belongings was to dig through his massive remaining T shirt collection to find a few perfect boyfriend shirts. Look what I found? A super soft, ultra light, long sleeves T from Juicy that one of us may have washed and accidentally dried at one point...heehee... I do have to admit though, his expansive taste translates to amazing quality pieces which I can't keep my hands off of, even though they are a little big. But that's what the dryer is for, right? J/K...KK ;)
By the way, I started eying this white blazer from Ralph Lauren a while back. I went back to the store yesterday to check if its on sale, and amazingly they are! Although my size was sold out, I decided to try it on in a different size anyways, and was pleasantly surprised by the fitting.

I Want...

This lovely Grey Ant dress is one of many things that's been in and out of my shopping baskets. I can already imagine so many ways to wear it, but do I really need another dress?

Inspiration Recreation

I woke up early on Sat morning trying to figure out where is the closest Coffee Beans in relation to where we were staying. To my pleasant surprise, CB is putting in 130 new locations inside of Ralphs all over Socal! Yappie! Somehow, this Kate Moss look popped into my head in the mist of my coffee hunt...

Color Clash

Ahh, I can't believe its Monday again! In an effort to cheer myself up, I decided to forgo my usual all-black-Monday-work-outfit and opt for something a little more girlie and slightly colorful. Yes, I'm still in love with these chunky heel Aldos I got a while back, and I don't think the passion is dying down any time soon, they are just so comfortable. I got the dress while in SD this weekend, I don't think the picture shows it very well, but it's in a pretty greenish gray color with tiny yellow flower prints. The cutting and fabric gives it such a vintage feel, I just couldn't resist. And of course, my love affair with navy blazer continues...let me just tell you, little boy's suit jacket makes for a perfect 3/4 sleeve skinny fitting blazer!

Prince's Last Day

I'm a little lagged with postings as I'm trying to help my prince to move to a better, warmer place tomorrow...sigh...what can I say, our last day at our place together :( He said he'll miss this place a lot, its a great area for retirement....in my head I'm think:"what does that make me?! A working retiree?"...
Will be online in a few days with a bunch of random updates!

Costume Institute Gala 2008

The always FLAWLESSLY dressed Kate Moss with one of the most talented designers of our time, Stella McCartney.

Ballerina-esk Scarlett Johansson

Simple yet quirky, only the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen can pull this off...

I love how Blake Lively can always looks so elegant and youthful at the same time...

Eva Mendes is not usually one of my favorites on the red carpet, but I have to say, this gown looks stunning against her skin tone ...

Kate Bosworth is so effortlessly chic..

Mischa Barton is just so whimsy and pretty..

Diane Kruger can DO NO WRONG, I'm dying to know how she always manages to look so perfect all the time...

No wonder Gisele Bundchen is the highest paying model!

Tom Brady may not be the richest man in the world, but he surely is one of the luckiest people alive...
Another yummy picture of the couple...

I usually like to save the best for last...this time, its the always gorgeous, impeccably dressed Bee! With THE QUEEN BEE in the last picture :)
